Marsha Wetzel is a deaf professional referee in America. She has refereed high school, college, and some professional basketball games.
Marsha Wetzel is the first deaf woman to become a referee in NCAA Division I. As of today, she is still working as a referee for basketball games. She hopes to referee for the Deaflympics, NCAA teams, and different games and tournaments.
If a coach or other referees are having a problem talking with Marsha, an interpreter usually is at the games to help interpret. If there is no interpreter for Marsha, then the coaches and referees will write back and forth with her.
