Kitty O'Neil
On March 1946, Kitty O'Neil was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. She became the top student at her mother's school where her mother was the administration. She was excellent on the diving team.
Suddenly, Kitty O'Neil got spinal meningitis which meant that she might not be able to dive or walk again. Kitty became deaf, but she was able to walk with a lot of help and exercise.
Kitty loved to be a daredevil enjoying car racing, skydiving and water skiing. She decided to become a stuntwoman for driving. In 1976, age the age of 28, Kitty set a world record in the Guinness Book of World Records as the "Fastest Woman on Earth." She rode a rocket car called "Motivator" with 48,000 horse-power that reached a speed up to 412 mph in 3.22 seconds. She retired in 1986 and moved to South Dakota.
