Paul D. Hubbard
Paul Hubbard, a deaf man, graduated from Kansas School for the Deaf. He was a quarterback at Gallaudet University. He invented the football huddle in the 1940's. The huddle means to gather the people together to discuss the plays during football games.
Paul felt that the other team would look at their plans so he decided to huddle for privacy.
Pro football liked Paul's huddle idea. The NFL used it on the field during the game and it continues today.
