William C. Woodbridge

William C. Woodbridge was taught sign language by Thomas Hopkins Gallaudet and taught at ASD.

He established the first music class in a public school in America.

He and Emma Willard wrote the first school textbook in geography and became the first people to sell this type of book. It was named "A System of Universal Geography on the principles of Comparison and Classification".
