Jacob Weidenmann
Jacob Weidenmann was an art teacher and taught drawing at ASD.
He worked at the school for 4 years from 1860-1864.
He was a partner of Fredrick Law Olmstead, the designer of Central Park, and worked with him on several projects.
Bushnell Park and Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford, which is where Gallaudet and other famous people are buried, were designed by him. See a design of Bushell park from Weidenmann's 1870 book
He wrote a book called "Beautifying Country Homes" published in 1870.
